INDIEFAB Finalist – Awakening

Foreword ReviewsI’m thrilled that my book, Keeper Chronicles: Awakening, was selected by INDIEFAB as a finalist for their Book of the Year Award. More than being thankful for the recognition, I’m grateful for Geminid Press for believing in me and supporting this book. Paul and Phil have been wonderful to work with through the entire process.

Let me share a little about the book. Inspired by the monsters of Greek mythology, the demons for Awakening range from animal hybrids to creatures with multiple heads or arms or legs to the scariest darkness of all – demons able to take human form. Of course, if there were many monsters like this running loose in the world, everyone would know. That’s where the Keepers come into play.  Since demons are drawn to bright lights after crossing over to our world, lighthouses were developed to attract and trap these monsters, thus keeping the rest of the world safe. Lighthouse keepers are the secret society who protect the world from demons, allowing you and me the chance to live in blissful ignorance of the darkness behind some of the world’s greatest atrocities.

Awakening New Cover SmallKeeper Chronicles is the offshoot of years of reading and obsessing over my favorite horror novels. Monsters should be scary. They should send chills up the spine and into the heart. I grew up with these kids of evil creatures, and I’m thrilled to be able to add my own voice to this great tradition.
